I bought these from Amazon and DS likes them. I ordered the cotton ones but they may have an athletic dry-material version if that's what you're looking for. They come three to a pack and there are different color mixes.

Same - never leaves a room without his phone let alone the house so there is no losing it or leaving it behind. Has his house keys on his airpods case (has a built in hand loop) for the same reason.

Mine has a slider case on his phone and carries his DL, credit card, and a bit of cash. He carries his keys separately. Luckily most athletic wear have pockets and even zippered pockets these days.

Adidas does sell some with zippers. My son keeps his phone in one pocket and wallet in the other.

My son has one of those Ridge Wallets. He just Carrie’s it in his pocket. Some of his athletic shorts have hidden zippered pockets even. Hes also the kid of kid who never loses his stuff (unlike my younger son who would lose his head if it were not attached!)
