Takoma Park DC All Stars swims at Takoma Aquatics in the summer. Practices start right after Memorial Day weekend.

Depending on your location in town you could consider the following for private pools:

1) PG Pool (10 year waitlist)
2) Daleview (4-5 year waitlist)
3) Hillandale/West Hillandale/Adelphi (could be hit or miss on waiting for these. I've heard some friends get in quickly others wait a year or so)

For public pools you can swim at Long Branch for the rest of the summer outside. Piney Branch elementary has an indoor pool but they've had a ton of maintenance and staffing issues. We were getting quite a few emails telling us it was closed for this reason or that.

Good luck.

Just FYI, several of these teams are in Prince Mont Swim League (Adelphi, PG Pool, etc) not MCSL. Personally, I think PMSL is better, but just making you aware.

I believe DC Wave is the only team at that site.

If that’s what you are after vs recreational summer swim - the posts above aren’t really answering your question.

Which teams practice at the Takoma aquatic center. Not OP but we are in NE DC and looking for swim team options for next year and want to explore options in case we can't get a spot on Jr. Waves.

A bit further afield, you can find Northwest Branch over by Trader Joe's or Glenwood by Forest Glen. Both are also nice. Most will have a small fee to get on the waitlist, it's a good idea to get on a few waitlists now and see what opens up. Glenwood used to have an August membership that they would allow anyone on their waitlist to use for a pretty low price for the month.

Glenwood’s wait list is extremely long, 5-10 years, so if you are looking for a swim team to join ASAP Glenwood is not really an option.

Daleview is longer than 4-5 years unless you are friends with people on the Board, or your kid is a star swimmer with Machine Aquatics or similar.

That is SO not true. I have lower level kids on the Daleview swim team and the team has not had an influx of new star swim team kids as your post suggests.
