While school violence can certainly happen in any state, it isn’t a regular occurrence in Florida as it is in Montgomery and Fairfax counties. It’s a damn shame when students have no expectation of basic safety in your public schools.
Safety should be the #1 concern of any school. Your schools need to reconsider their priorities. Your school board and administrators are doing nothing effective to curb the violence in schools. RJ isn’t much doing anything to reduce the violence.

Incredible, right? They’re obviously doing something right. For starters, they probably didn’t defund the police.
Funny you say that - the city where I live, St Pete, has put a lot of resources into social workers and community service workers answering calls instead of police. I.e., defunding the police. It's been a huge success.

This is incredible, as most other places are seeing increased crime.

Also, you have to have residents and tourists to create crime. Tourists aren't visiting and many LGBTQ residents are leaving.
July 2021 - July 2022 saw more people moving to FL than out of FL. I suspect the July 2022 - July 2023 data will be the opposite.

Florida ranks number four behind California, Texas and Illinois in school shootings.
