A slight puffed sleeve is fine but those tiered, prairie style tent dresses are… not good? And the trend is definitely starting to fade, at least outside of DC.

I’ve come around on tiered dresses in a mini or midi length (not all the way to the ankle or floor). I like the volume and have found that they are extremely comfortable in the summer.

The green dress upthread is pretty but too fussy for me personally. I like this style in a lightweight cotton or linen, with a flutter or cap sleeve.

This will never go away because it's cheaper to make than actually fitting a sleeve correctly. Sometimes they don't even include buttons and button-holes. Same with "pop over" tops.

All you need is a lot of (cheap) fabric and some gathering at the top. And presto, it's a sleeve. No need to fit the armscye or deal with buttons.

Rant over.

I didn’t mind it. At first. But I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a single fashion trend take over so broadly and quickly. It’s nuts.

Meh, I like them.

The sister wives all got divorced! I guess the ruffles don’t work.
