My personal experience watching 4 years of both in public HS.

Wow, times have changed. It was the opposite when I was in school. From what I recall field hockey involves an incredible amount of running.

What? I went to a high school field hockey game last year and remember thinking that there was more running than my son’s soccer team.

Does she have any volleyball experience? It's become a hugely popular sport in the past few years and I name about a dozen eight grade girls who play club volleyball. That will be her competition. If you want her to make the team, see if you can find a rec league and sign her up for some private lessons with a club coach. If she is tall, she stands a chance. I've seen girls come up the learning curve quickly.

It's easier to make the tennis team at our school but you should have had some lessons.

Don’t know why I said FH but the same is true for tennis.

I don’t know what WF stands for. At our high school, club players try out for the freshman teams for both sports and hope to make them. Club players are also cut. FH is easier to make than volleyball. Volleyball is very difficult to make any team.
