Not OP, but our MoCo neighborhood is just once a week (trash, recycle, yard debris--separate trucks yet all same day). If they've hired correctly for a day-day week, more than one pickup a week would double the personnel cost, right?

MoCo used to have twice a week pick-up. It would be nice if they at least did it during the summer. The smells are terrible...

Did the trash company at least take your trash? Or did they leave everything in there. When did you roll out your bin? Is it possible someone put that stuff in there ahead of time and the trash company just left it!

I’d say something, so they know you’re aware.
I have a jerk of a neighbor who throws his bag of dog poop in my organics bin after it’s been emptied. There have been other inconsiderate jerk moves.
I just hurl the bin to eject the bag back onto the sidewalk in front of his house.
No, there’s no point in discussing with him, have tried. Yes, have thought about moving. Waiting for him to move out, they tried to sell last year but priced too high. He does his own renos, lots of junk, materials on his porch and backyard. You know what kind of person I mean.

Anyway, ask them if they know who did it, esp since they’re outside, they probably “saw” who did it.

One time as I was driving out of my street I saw one neighbor standing behind his tree with a trash bag in his hand trying to avoid being seen by me. As I passed him I saw him walking across the street to neighbor's trashcan and put his trash in there. At that moment, I didn't know what was going on. It was one of those "WTF did I just see?" moments. It was trash day so no clue why he couldn't get his own trash out. Weird people all over I guess.

OP, if the neighbors are outside, why not just walk over there and tell them about the trash in your bin?

Same.
Once a week for me took, I'm in DC.

Go over and say “hey since you’re outside, did you see who put a bunch of pipes and concrete pieces in our garbage can? I saw the trash get collected a little while ago and then came out and found our bin 3/4 full?” They’ll either act dumb/deny or admit/apologize. Either way, they are less likely to do it again once they’re “caught”

If it’s pipe and concrete, it’s unlikely your regular trash people will take it.

That takes extra nerve. I've had neighbors top off my cans with their trash after I put them out.

Just go talk to them. Don’t tell them that you didn’t see them. But tell him that I need to take the trash out.
