It's a non-issue. If you're going to send your kids to school, camp, travel etc., you are risking exposure. Exposure to colds, HFM disease, and yes Covid. This is no longer 2021, most of us are vaccinated. At some point you have to get on with your life, or choose to hide in your house.

I’d think that was common. My DH and kids lived their lives as usual when I had Covid in April and quarantined in the basement. A month ago I sat next to someone in a meeting whose DH had Covid at the time. I think it still makes sense to quarantine IF YOU HAVE COVID, but everything we’ve learned about it shows that being exposed to it doesn’t mean you’ll automatically get sick with it and transmit it to others.

Me too. It sounds like this person was responsible -- continued testing the corn and then kept them home when they tested positive a couple days later. I bet most people aren't doing even that.

Same. I would test each day and send them as long as they are negative. I'd probably make my kids wear masks, too.

Husband and I tested positive last month. Kids had zero symptoms and were at their respective summer programs. It’s 2023, time to move on.

The person is smart. She needs to rest and recover while her kids are out of the house. Keeping the kids away from her (and out of the house) is best so they won’t get it.

I would think this person is no dumber or more malicious than average.

I would think they are normal. I sent my DS to school when I had covid.

Caring or talking about COVID in 2023 is for nerds. It’s a cold. Find something else to do with your life.

Not true.
I heard a news report on TV yesterday stating that Covid cases are on the rise again.

This. If they kids are sick, she should keep them home. If not, life goes on.

This.

Why did they even test?

I would have sent my kid too.
Kid wasn’t positive.
Also, we have vaccines now. My life isn’t stopping for Covid anymore
