In case anyone else is interested, in researching I came across another one which looks pretty good:charlesgate confidential (three eventually overalapping storylines in the 40s, 80, and 2010s, and fictionalized account of the gardiner heist.
Op again and realized I didn’t follow up on Charlesgate Confidential after I finished it-I LOVED it! Quite funny at times, good mystery, interesting/fun period details in the storylines set in the 40s and 80s. Highly recommend! Though bc it’s sort of noir/hard-boiled in style (which is usually not my fave) be prepared for some adult language.
