Connect Tysons to Bethesda
It would alleviate so much congestion on the beltway and it's a massive commuter artery.
You can get from Tysons to Bethesda via Metro Center today. Plenty of people do it.
for one of the largest transit routes of high paying jobs that is an idiotic path to work.

Unnecessary for who? Seems like it'll significantly help move people between Virginia and D.C. -- unnecessary for me, but they've been suggesting something like this for years, so I imagine Metro has a reason for wanting to do it.

Wait you think it’s ugly…like the new metro map would be ugly or the underground metro would be ugly?

Maybe. However, I say equal chances it will be done and open before the Purple Line…
