Just the summer (2 more weeks only) but I'm talking to other dads about maintaining the futsal at Randall Rec at least. There are under-utilized futsal courts all over the city. Trying to get a Friday night pick-up going at the Futsal court at Fort Lincoln Park in NE DC too.
Where can we go to get updates on this? My boys would be interested.

No idea when they are being picked up by their own parents. But take yoir soccer gear and join them. See you later. Pick you up at 6 pm.
Then teen goes home and mom asks what he did. I hung out with kids I didn’t even know and my aunt was nowhere to be found.

Across the country, but fervently agree. It doesn't even matter if their ages are off a bit. Great players know how to play inclusively. I would send him to a park or try to sign up for camps or even look into your local indoor places for drop in times. It might seem daunting but you'll be surprised at where they will slide him in

Join a club that interested in your development not your 3-5k in fees each year. Just posted some pick-up opportunites that would be great for a 15year old

Where are you? My 15 yo loves soccer. He has been complaining there are no teen pickup games. It’s a challenge to get together enough kids to play a game because everyone has conflicting schedules. As a GK, he is always looking for someone to take shots on him.

Maybe have your teen go to a local park where there are other kids and kick the ball arnd? There are bound to be other kids he can also to play some small sided games. My kids who are younger go to a park to play soccer and there are usually a few people, kids or with their parents who’ve approached them to play.
Also, he’s 15 and can play with adults. Ask ur neighborhood Listserv if there are any pickup games and just drop by.
There are also apps to find pick up games. Check out Plei to see if there are any near u.
