Do the same for all star relay carnival. No more D1 parents complaining about the host pool if they're the ones fighting to host

Yes. Please make this happen NVSL.

100% I would too but it’s not cheap. And since the majority of all-star swimmers come from the same few teams, it would be unfair to ask other teams to pay.

Most pools would just laugh if you asked them to chip in so all stars can be at St James. I honestly think the majority would vote to cancel it before they would agree to pay to book Mason. Most teams do not send kids to that meet or only send a couple.

No one in PMSL is complaining about the excessive heat for tomorrow. Just saying.

There are places that could host it, but they would cost money that NVSL doesn't have. Arlington Aquatic would be a great venue, but no one is going to want to pay to rent it.

Tuckahoe should be hosting this meet.

Why would the kids swimming be anywhere near the parking lot?

That’s where the team areas are at Orange Hunt.

That's just inadequate facilities - blame the NVSL decision makers for that.

How does a postage stamp get picked to host all stars?

Perfect DCUM post. No notes.

Seriously, if you have no clue about NVSL (they are BEGGING pools to host All Star meets) or how NVSL All Stars works (at bare minimum 450 swimmers, plus coaches, reps, and parents) just don't chime in.

Ok, that begs the question however - why bother if you don't have a proper venue for something of this size/scale? The hosts get all the credit in the world for trying to pull this off but surely in the whole of NVSL there has to be a larger pool/grounds that would be better positioned to do better for the participants. How does MCSL do it... are they just smaller so it's not an issue?

There are lots of pools better suited for it. None of them want it. Most pools don't want to close to their members on a Saturday in late July- one of the last few before Labor Day- to host a meet where few if any of their member's kids will participate.

MCSL always does it at Rockville, which is a pretty big facility.
