The real bonus is that you can use your iPhone or a limitless number of iPhones from anywhere on the field - and it automatically syncs up to the main camera footage. Some larger academy teams (Alexandria, Bethesda, etc.) provide cameras for top teams. The talk of having it recouped by a college scholarship is just nonsense. Particularly for boys - there are hardly any substantial scholarships out there that are purely athletic. You're probably already spending $5 to $10K a year on club soccer - what's another $200 per family for the camera system?

100%. Trace is amazing for the price point.

I find SeeUsPlay to be fantastic. Been using for about 4 months. Local company to DMV which is why those videos on the site are of local clubs. Equipment is good, setup is straightforward, video quality is great, and you can easily share on YouTube. No advanced features like personalized player following etc; not everyone needs that. What I like is they use GoPros and YouTube - stuff that everyone can easily use without nickel and diming every family on your team. When it’s winter, take the cameras and go skiing. No clue what you’re talking about when you say you can’t get a hold of anyone. The customer support responds within an hour via email anytime I have a question.

Thanks for the feedback on the SeeUsPlay. We are seriously looking into using it for our team but we're not able to get a hold of anyone on SeeUsPlay to discuss some questions we have. Would you happen to have a support number that we can call?

Our club provides VEO cameras. VEO does not lose track of the ball like Trace.

Trace has some cool features like tagging players so you don’t have to watch the full video but is not good for defenders as is often misses 2-3 seconds when ball hit into defensive zone.

Ultimately when a clip might just be a few seconds long the fact that Trace doesn’t keep the ball in frame is a problem.

VEO film clarity and lack of lag was also better

VEO however is too complicated in terms of being able to highlight playwrs with a name and circle . It’s not easy and you have to go through a separate platform and then you can’t download a clip with the name and circled player. Super inconvenient . . Trace much better and easier on that end (IF your play actually gets captured)

After using SeeUsPlay for a year, I was still happy with it as a good option for a solid game video that lacks bells and whistles, but is more affordable.

The video quality is very good, and the AI (following of game play) is comparable to other soccer cameras. It is not as plug and play as a Veo, but it's not that difficult either (you start the recordings in the app instead of on the camera).

The trade off is that you are giving up the features of a Veo or a Trace for the lower price. There is no automatic tagging of key plays, no proprietary viewing software, and no ability to follow a player or sync other cameras. But it's $650/year total for unlimited games compared to $800 for the basic Veo service (plus higher up front fees) and around $200 per player for Trace.

Love Trace. Has a cool feature that places a halo over your player. Cool Highlights.

Only $450 when they run specials. You don’t one the equipment, but just take care of it and all is good.

Just watched a video of my son's school game the other team recorded. He said it was a blue camera so I assumed trace. I've only used veo for his travel team. The 'blue' camera missed more footage than I would prefer trying to catch up to the ball. Frequently the ball abs play went out of the picture and the camera was still trying to pan and catch it. Also there was so much static that I had to watch the video on silent. 1 vote for veo.
