At any rate I am curious if like lacrosse....quality on clubs is very much grade based. Meaning 6th grade team is great but they will all be gone by high school etc. Does that make sense? ANy insight into that? Or is Takeover, Durant and Fairfax Stars legit regardless of age group. Also where does GLP and PVT stack compared to those?
Stars (girls side), takeover and Durant are all Nike sponsored so they get better as you get to high school. I can’t speak to boys, but on the girls side, pvt and glp are what I call the bottom of the decent clubs. I’d put hurricanes and elevate elite between the two tiers
How do you determine that ranking? DD plays for a different AAU team and all those teams above readily beat us. It was a couple of years ago. I felt the caliber of those clubs was impressive.
First hand experience with two daughters who went through it
To be clear... in your experience....
Fairfax Stars, Durant, Takeover are a step above even GLP?
Yes. Nike is the top circuit followed by Adidas and Under Armor is third.

Anonymous wrote:Yes - would like to know about Boys AAU programs for an 8th grader going to tryout for high school programs next year.
What are the best programs? What are the next level down from best? We have some ideas for other parents and coaches of course but would to get other feedback.
