Also where does GLP and PVT stack compared to those?

Stars (girls side), takeover and Durant are all Nike sponsored so they get better as you get to high school. I can’t speak to boys, but on the girls side, pvt and glp are what I call the bottom of the decent clubs. I’d put hurricanes and elevate elite between the two tiers

How do you determine that ranking? DD plays for a different AAU team and all those teams above readily beat us. It was a couple of years ago. I felt the caliber of those clubs was impressive.

First hand experience with two daughters who went through it

To be clear... in your experience....

Fairfax Stars, Durant, Takeover are a step above even GLP?

Yes. Nike is the top circuit followed by Adidas and Under Armor is third.

This is good info thanks. I did not know that Elevate Elite was part of the Adidas circuit and became such a prominent program in high school.

A friend of mine has a daughter on both GLP and GTS Fusion and she says they are apples and oranges with GLP practices coaching etc being head and shoulders above GTS.

What HS? If you are not already in AAU, it may be difficult to make many of the DMV teams.

I am curious about this as well. I have heard that during COVID many GLP girls moved to Fairfax Stars as they were holding more events in Virginia than in Maryland but am curious how this is still impacting the groups?

Aau is similar to soccer in that league affiliation makes a club. The same way that a club with an ecnl or mlsnext membership will attract more talent than a club without, a club with a Nike or adidas sponsorship will attract better talent than one without

What are the best programs? What are the next level down from best? We have some ideas for other parents and coaches of course but would to get other feedback.

We live in Arlington and would like to know. Durant, Takeover etc. and mid level teams.

What area do you live in

NOVA

Nova is a big area. I wouldn't recommend a kid living in Lorton play for Nova 94 even though it's a great club.
