Yes. That's exactly what it means.
Np. The op posted her menu and asked for suggestions. Folks are pointing out that she has two types of seafood, a “fancy” vegetarian option that likely does not appeal to kids and is acknowledging she has picky eaters coming. If you are having a taco bar, why not include one of the more basic meat choices? That is sort of the reason folks have taco bars- they tend to have basic food that appeals to everyone. Should people expect more? No. But the OP asked for suggestions and folks are pointing out what she could do to appease more guests. But it sounds like the OP knows her guests well.
You put it nicely. OP did not mention if men were coming..if so, most guys like a meat option such as ground beef or shredded pork...something hearty, not prissy.
You are a sexist moron. My husband is a vegetarian - try not to be so close minded.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Are the refried beans vegan? I'm not a seafood eater and would be disappointed in this menu. For a vegan taco I'd prefer sweet potato and black bean filling. The proposed ceviche just doesn't seem very filling.
OP here,
I'm not considering refried beans. But whatever beans I make will be vegan.
I feel like avocado and chickpeas are as filling as sweet potato and black beans.

This sounds great!Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:You’re making pico, right? And cilantro? Pickled onion?
You could do a jicama slaw but it will be pretty similar to shredded cabbage.
Yeah, and we'll have both cojita and shredded cheddar.
I make a really good mango black bean salsa. If I made that and the Mexican rice above, would that work?
