Why is any of this surprising. I repeat, he will not be the GOP candidate. His goose was already cooked. This judgement only reinforces this. The election is Biden’s to lose — assuming he has the endurance to last that long. Unfortunately his ability to be elected hinges a good deal on whether people will want Kamala as president bc they fear he won’t make it through a second term.
