Subject: D.C. -- Can/should a guy go to a nail salon?
I see men in nail salons all the time. I go to clean, basic ones. Not frou frou

I've seen men at my nail place. No one cares.
In my city, there are several new male-focused nail places that have armchairs and serve beer and snacks.

Yep. A few tips:
You'll feel less awkward if you have your phone or a kindle to look at.
The pedicurist does not expect conversation beyond basic pleasantries. It's not like a barber shop where people talk the entire time.
Even an express or men's pedicure will probably still include a soak and exfoliation. They may also include a lower leg massage.
The pedicurist will be sitting on a low chair at your feet while you're in a platform chair. Wear long shorts or pants that can roll up over your knees. Don't manspread or wear short shorts. They don't want to see your crotch.

Okay but that's not what OP is asking, stay on topic or leave the discussion.

Basic manicure, no polish. Don’t let them cut your cuticles. They can push back a bit, but don’t let them cut; most seem to not do that anymore, but just in case: say no.

This makes sense to me. Whenever I go to my popular salon, there is usually one man there. But, I've never walked in and seen eight men.
