Lauren, by Ralph Lauren. My older sister's (the middle child) signature scent from 8th grade through to her 30s. The undertones of Lily of the Valley, my mother's favorite scent, blending with lilac and cyclamen, make me feel like, if only it had been my scent, I could have been the golden child.

I used to like Dior Poison until someone told me I smelled like bug spray when I wore it. I like to wear natural scents that make me feel uplifted, kind of like aromatherapy.

This is intensely personal, OP, and depends not only on your taste, but also on your skin chemistry, because scent molecules react differently to different skin pHs and chemical composition.

I rotate, depending on mood:
1. Serge Lutens' Filles en Aiguilles (woodsy, great on a rainy day)
2. Dior's Poison (classically flowery)
3. Papillon's Salome (a little out there - not for everyone!)
