NY steakhouse experience? What is this, 1992?!

I didn’t realize a steakhouse experience was only applicable to the 1990s

If you are looking for something southern we also love Blackberry Farm, we go ever June.

Blackberry Farm is even more expensive and OP already said Palmetto bluffs was a splurge.

It is beautiful but if it's a high expense for you, then I'd say skip it. The restaurants are only okay and the service is hit or miss. Also, there is NOTHING to do when it rains (was at a wedding there back in May and the rainy days were long)
Savannah is a good 35-40 minutes though from Bluffton so factor that in to your plans.

THIS. They notoriously run out of golf carts when it rains and it's a long walk from the cabins to the main hotel part. It's pretty (Spanish moss trees and relaxed feel) but nothing amazing. We were told they have trouble with staffing and there is constantly new people there who are completely clueless.
If it's a high expense, I'd save your money.

My in-laws live in Bluffton so we go to Palmetto Bluffs just to eat or walk around when we go visit them. It's a beautiful site but no way would I spend $1100/night to sleep there. Savannah is an easy distance and you will find lots of options for sleeping and eating for wayyyyyyyy less.

I stayed there two nights in fall 2021 as part of a backroads bike trip. I loved the place. Had bikes delivered and the rode around the property and down by the water. Took a boat ride run by staff and saw dolphin in the salt water river. Dinner at River House was lovely. Ate outdoors on closed in porch at sundown. Small touches made it magical to me. Bourbon Milk jam and cookies in the room, the soaking tub, Brussels spout mix for breakfast are yummy. And I didn’t see the total bill. It was part of a package.

I don’t understand this place or why you would want to be out in the swamp.
