I have to leave the house by 7:15, so no makeup and still in PJs. I even stopped to get gas once in my PJs. My daughter is in HS.

This is just not true. The one day I didn't wear any makeup (meaning a swipe of mascara, lip balm, and a little wash of color on my cheeks) I got a text from a school Dad asking if I was OK because I looked sadder than usual 🤣.

Most men cannot tell when women are wearing "no makeup" makeup.

Some days i don’t even bother with shoes. It’s pretty embarrassing to realize I’m low on gas and end up at the pump in pajama pants and fluffy slippers

If it would make you feel more comfortable, wear it the first day. Then you'll get the lay of the land. My DC is at Potomac. Drop-off is a carpool line (K + siblings only except rare occasions) or a bus. Most Moms are wearing very little, if any, makeup and are wearing clothes you would expect someone to wear when they woke up early to herd their children off to school - unless they are going to work directly from drop-off. At carpool, the only person who sees you is the faculty member assisting your child from the car. They are far more focused on your child so they would barely notice unless your hair was sticking straight up in a mess.

I stopped wearing make up during the covid shut down in 2020. Now I only put it on for special occasions. I get more compliments on my skin now than I ever did before. It’s okay, do whatever makes you comfortable.

Op, I may or may not wear make up. Depends on the morning and what else I'm doing.

Me, too, but I would probably have to cycle through a few hundred other possible posts before I asked if I need to wear make up for anything other than maybe a job interview. Maybe.

OP here! Lol! Not the same person! I was inspired by the Beauvoir thread though. I almost asked what I should wear on the first day of school at Sidwell but I don’t really have a kid there.
