If I had 50k earmarked for business, I’d probably invest it with a friend who has a small gourmet food business. I have some ideas for expansion and buying the equipment is the biggest start-up cost.

Only fans is your best bet if all you’re concerned about is making money with the least amount of effort. It’s still work, but not like slogging through a real job. Find a niche and the sky is the limit.

Unless you’re investing in something passive, like stocks, you need some passion, ambition, and initiative. Sounds like you’re burned out or a generally low energy person. That’s fine, but starting a business sounds more demanding than what you have to give to it.
