The Georgetown admissions director has been clear on repeated occasions that they look for not only legacy, but legacies who contribute $$. He's made it clear that they look at parents' tendencies to donate to Georgetown before giving a tip to their child. (Other schools probably also do this, but Georgetown is fairly vocal about it.)


I almost started a post about this. I want to know if legacies are getting into UMD and when they started donating. I plan to start when my kids are in late middle school or high school

This is true of literally any school. Apparently, OP is looking for published information on this topic. OP seems extremely naive, and not very bright. Since you asked.

OP - Georgetown is no more guilty than any other college re: "legacies".
