Unless you fly out of IAD.

But united award flights cost way more miles. We are flying to Phoenix for spring break for 15k miles RT per person. United was double, easily.

I suppose. I just purchased round trip airfare on United for $830 IAD-BER and confirmed an immediate upgrade to Polaris Business Class for 80 PlusPoints. Doubt you’ll find that on American or Delta.

You must fly a ton. I earn all my freebies from credit cards because I only travel for leisure.

Chase Sapphire Reserve earns 3 points perdollar spent on travel an restaurants. Their points transfer to United 1 for 1. If you spend a lot on travel and dining that is your best card. Even with $550/yr fee. Against that fee they credit $300 a year for travel, free Priority Club, and other rebates.

I think I read United was offering people who had delayed or cancelled flights last week 30,000 miles. If most people take this offer then financially they are going to devalue miles. I wouldn’t sign United right now.
