They have not announced it yet but rumor is they are moving to the silver spring new pool
I heard rumblings that none of this is happening until at least next summer, so the upcoming indoor season should still be at KSAC.
I heard it was in the fall as that pool is opening and it was a mix of outdoor pools they added heaters to and the new pool.
Current KSAC family, we have been told by a coach (and told to spread the word) we’ll be at KSAC at least until summer 2024.
Our coaches sent out an email that they don't know anything and will tell us when they know something. Wonder why they are pushing off the remodel. KSAC desperately needs it.
Nothing goes according to plan/schedule when you talk about construction - the SS facility was supposed to open a year ago and it's still not open.
The KSAC remodel hinges on the the SS center being up and operational and the upgrades to Glenmont to accommodate the displacement as well as other factors.
The most recent 'old' estimated timeline had KSAC shutting down in early 24 my guess is with where things stand now, they probably go through the spring and shut things down in May/June 2024 but who knows if their will be yet more delays.

The 10 year olds aren’t trying out for a developmental group, they are looking at juniors and advanced juniors. Generally MLK is easier to get into than KSAC. At age 10, I would say having B times is probably the baseline you would want to have to get in.
Are there time standards for 25yds?
They should be doing 50's, not 25 at that age.
Sorry, I am not op. My child is 8 and hasn’t done many 50s at meets
If your child is 8 (and not turning 9 sometime this summer) and legal in all 4 strokes, they should be able to make minis.
RMSC’s age cut off deadline is the end of the calendar year

Very few kids get in. KSAC is really hard to get in and the juniors coach is terrible. Olney and MLK are easier to get into.
The juniors coach is terrible? Yikes, my kid will be in juniors this fall.

A times, or A meet times? A meet times doesn’t mean anything without the league/division/team.
