The governments of all nations are responsible and politicians who refused to heed warnings since even before Al Gore’s call to arms. Budgets have been cut for forest management in Canada and in the US. Most of us East coasters were as devastated as if we lived in California - after all we have visited the beautiful golden state or dreamed of moving there or know family or friends - seeing California on fire was painful and at least the national (and international) news covered it. What no countries seem to do well enough- that we are now experiencing for the first time- are the detrimental ongoing health effects- learning about the PM count every morning is a new weather report for those of us with asthma and allergies- or those of us who expect heat and humidity but the ability to breathe early am and when the sun sets. In astounded the top of the res is trump trump trump and not how to thrive and be safe in an environment less controllable than Covid.

lol. We've been dealing with this on the west coast for years. It is hilarious to me that it's only now that it effects people in the east that suddenly fires are an issue.

Never. Because Cali is doing the best it can. And we send fire fighters to each other's states and provinces every year to help each other out, recognizing that none of this is ideal and we're all trying our best. Maybe you should try and help instead of whining like an entitle baby, OP.
