I’m at rehoboth and the boardwalk is closing at midnight ? Everything is closed

What do you mean? Closing for the night?

Yes, it was midnight I thought they would stay open longer, there was only a few places that stayed opened longer.

The Rehoboth boardwalk closes at 10 PM every night. Go to ocean city if you need more “entertainment”. OP is looking for a family experience.

No it’s not. We’ve done day trips to Rehobeth beach many times. You just have to be flexible with the time.

Can you take an extra day off work? Hotels are so absurdly expensive for the area beaches that it might be better to fly. You can get relatively cheap flights to Boston and head for Old Orchard Beach or the Cape. Or you can get a cheap flight to Denver and drive to the mountains.

Or maybe try a river/lake in the area like David WV? A bike trip on a rails-trails? Deep Creek?

Check out the various Hilton brands in Ocean City MD. They recently converted and renovated several hotels.

It’s going to be tough because in summer most places rent weekly, not nightly, so not that many places will have a weekend free. You need to just start searching hotels in any beach city in Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia Beach, and go with the first one that has those 2 nights open.
