Where do you hear this? Trying to remember if it's a baltimore thing

My ILs in Pittsburgh all say this.

It’s an Appalachian thing. My husband is from West Virginia and says this all the time and it drives me craaaaazy.

Bless your little heart. Such a delicate little flower. Somebody needs a safe space.

Use of ‘less’ when it should be ‘fewer’. Like nails on a chalkboard to me.

More spelling than grammar: discrete for discreet, distain for disdain, loose for lose, breath for breathe.

Placement of "only".

"He only threw 78 pitches." What, as opposed to kicking 78 pitches? It should be "He threw only 78 pitches."

(And yes, I realize there only are about 3 people who care about this. Wait, I mean "There are only about 3 people.")

Like OP, mine is him/her, he/she, me/I. I cringe at “if you have any questions, come to Larla and I” or “Me and Larla went to the store.” It makes me think you’re uneducated.

I grew up in Pittsburgh and said this until college. My boyfriend pointed it out and I had no idea it was incorrect. Pittsburgh has a lot of regional quirks.

I also know people from PA who say things like "are you done your coffee?" Prepositions, people!

My biggest peeve is when people say "so and so and I's" - like "it's Fred and I's 20th anniversary!" ugh.
