What are you prattling on about? Europe is a continent dimwit, there is going to be a lot of variation. Germany does not have much a/c because until recently (thank you global warming) they did not need it since the average summer temps were in the high 70s.
Are you from some podunk town that you think "everything" is expensive? Major metro areas (London, Paris, Rome, etc) are expensive, sure. They are here, too.
I really hope you stay home more.
This. We spent a few weeks in "summer" not far from Frankfurt some years back. It was COLD, cloudy, and rainy. In late July.
