Objectively, wap is vulgar; however, if you listen to the song with an open mind, it is hilarious. Men have made millions rapping far worse degrading misogynistic lyrics. When I finally listened to wap, I laughed, cringed and thought "good for them!". Cardi B has some tamer music in her catalog. I let my tween listen to what she likes. She doesn’t repeat bad words or expect to dress like a female singer so it’s all good.

I don't have a daughter, but yes, I would let her listen to Cardi B. My parents never censored my music, and I never censored my kids either. I grew up listening to Wu-Tang, Redman, Biggie, Lil Kim, Junior M.A.F.I.A, Too Short, NWA, 2 Live Crew, etc. I'm sure my parents found their song lyrics equally appalling.
