You are setting him for a life of no one will cater to me as well as mommy does. Adulting is hard, but ramen is easy. He will be fine.

He doesn't want to cook because the shared kitchen is always in use.

Truly, microwaved dinners are fine. He's probably eating two or three of them.

Fried eggs

Quesadillas.

If he's adventurous, stir fried arbitrary vegebtales and meat/tofu and soy sauce.,

You can't force him to want to cook.

1. It's just one meal a day - presumably the breakfast and lunch are healthyish.

2. It's just for the summer.

3. I worked with a guy who ate nothing but McDonald's and Chipotle for 3 years. He lived.

I found this list of 30 recipes for my son, but most do involve a stove top or oven.

He went through with me and I helped him find 3 go to recipes he could make, and freeze extras for microwaving.

Steamable rice bag (these are shelf stable and have many grains and quinoa) frozen roasted chicken chunks, frozen mixed veggies. Nuke it up and add a sauce: general tso, spicy peanut Szechuan, Alfredo, pesto. The ready sauces aren’t great but better than a frozen meal. He can add an egg for breakfast. Lots of variety possible. Sprinkle cashews or pumpkin seeds.

Hummus and veggies, or hummus and frozen brown rice that is heated in the microwave.

Baked sweet potato

Whole grain toaster waffle (assuming you have a toaster) with pb and j.

I would tell him to eat well enough at lunch that it's his primary meal, and eat something like the above for dinner.
