I saw Calista in Europe (from a distance) about 18 months ago. She’s still painfully thin (and Harrison is so tiny).

Jane Krakowski isn’t thin.

But Ally McBeal is. I couldn't watch because i didn't want my teenage daughters thinking that was normal

You are absurd if you think some people don't have small frames.

And you are absurd if you think CF didn't have an eating disorder during the show.

She's still very small.

So... overweight is "normal," but underweight is abnormal. Got it.

You might not know that both actresses talked about their eating disorders publicly.

I know Portia did. Calista as well?

Courtney Thorne Smith definitely did.

Np. The camera adds 10 pounds so if she was looking thin on TV that means they were underweight. Yes

Ha, I’m older than you all. LA Law was big when I was in law school. Maybe I should give THAT a re-watch!

Calista Flockhart, Portia di Rossi, and Courtney Thorne-Smith have all revealed that they suffered from seriously disordered eating while on the show. So in the cases of these actors, yes, underweight is abnormal.

+1

Calista looked like a bobblehead. Suspect not much has changed.

Same. And I was in law school when AB came out - and I met the creator at a meet and greet. He is much more handsome without the beard (if you are reading this DEK).

Would be a great opportunity to actually have a conversation with your daughters. Putting your head in the sand and acting like it doesn’t exist, for them just to see it somewhere else??
