And yet Alexandria City teams don’t dominate any sports.

Why will the highschool have an early childhood center?

So the girls who have babies can get free childcare and actually finish school and students who won’t go on to college can have career options when they graduate.

It’s a failed social experiment that the bleeding hearts don’t want to admit that it didn’t work, but also don’t want to improve the schools or even acknowledge the problem either.
Aren’t the two schools 9th and 10-12?
Yes, that’s what I meant. Although even more confusingly ACPS is doing some reorganization to have both sites support 9-12…so two schools but not really.
I suspect they’ll just codify the internal segregation the school(s) already has/have.
Keeping the same overarching name allows liberals to save face, have their cake, and eat it too.

The majority voted for that so that’s how it’s going to be.

It sure is easier to win state championships competing against schools with a talent pool one third smaller. For many families and politicians in Alexandria that may very well be a valid reason and there’s no shame in admitting to it. It’s one way to burnish the Titan Hollywood legacy and state championships are a source of city pride.
Uhhh, have you seen the baseball program? It sucks.
