How are you doing OP? I found this thread looking for one because I too had to put down our wonderful cat. He was nearly 20 and we’d had him about 19 years. He was so much more to us than a cat-a real member of the family that we first got as a couple together who then moved with us to our first home, saw the birth of our kids and watched them grow and was a friend and emotional support to us all. Like your cat, the decline was swift and he woke me up in the middle of the night yowling and unable to walk. A vet came to our home because we couldn’t bare having him leave his space. It’s so hard and awful and I’m so sad.
