Mine says 230 right now. McLean/Arlington.

Cool, but this is unsafe for people with certain conditions, elderly, children.
I have a lung condition and probably would have felt ok going for a walk at 160. But I'm not sure where in this area it was 160 this am. Everything I've seen is 200 and above.
Some apps are lagging because they're not built for this rapid change of circumstances, and some news/radio aren't getting the message out rapidly enough. The idiots at Classical Radio kept saying Code Red this morning, where we were at Code Purple.
Capital Weather Gang (WaPo meteorologists) is up to date.

Yeah, the color scheme is very annoying to me.
It should be black after purple. To indicate the lung damage.

Of course, to the extent possible, but there is no way to avoid short walks for my dogs.
My dog is NOT happy. He's used to going outside in blizzards and rainstorms. But since yesterday, all he has is pee and poo walks. I wear a mask, but have a really bad sore throat. There's no way I'm walking him farther.
My beagle walked outside, peed in our driveway and turned right around like "nope" -
