I think the unwritten story (so far) is that 2 members of the Tour Policy Board that include an elite Wall Street lawyer and an elite investment banker made the deal. While I doubt they will not benefit directly from this deal, they certainly will benefit from the connections made, reinforced, etc. Only money matters to the Wall Street types. It truly sad, because one of them lost friends on 911. Moreover, I suspect that both are well connected in the Middle Eastern financial world, which certainly includes the Saudi PIF. Their perceived biases have screwed professional golf, worldwide. If the "merger" goes through, this golfer will no longer follow professional golf.

We are ALL Oilwashing the Saudi money by purchasing oil from them. Saudi in return demand the rest of the world purchase their oil with US dollars which allow us to keep printing money despite being trillions of dollars in debt.

Once the oil is gone, governments can start caring about human rights and sanction them into a pariah kingdom
