The best response is either straight up block and delete, or say you are busy (or "Meh, not interested") and block and delete. The point is that this guy has No Control over you in any fashion. His love bomb completely misses the mark with you. Disengage completely and he'll move on to the next target.
My ex right after giving me a necklace I wanted for my birthday literally said to me one day a week later after I was so thankful to me āIām worried about you when I go away for a week. How are you going to cope without me?ā He had been cheating and I was trying to rebuild the relationship and thought the necklace was a means of coming back together. He saw my attempts as me not coping being alone. I mean that was right but not in the same way like I needed him. More like I desperately wanted the relationship to work out. I found more cheating going back years and even the week of the necklace and finally just said enough. People who love bomb rationalize in weird ways.
