What does it matter? You can't yeet the kid at this point.

Probably, but do you look 53? Do you act 53?

Those are more important than your number age.

I have a friend who had a third kid when she was 51. The kid is now 6. My DH is 55 and we have a 7yo and a 9yo.

I have your same age difference as you have with my teen. I have met older parents and younger parents. I have never felt out of place by age.

I differ from other parents more because of an atypical age gap between my oldest and youngest - so I mostly have separate parent groups .

Out of curiosity, What exactly are you proud of? Did you over come a hardship to get pregnant? Is it something that you always wanted and finally achieved in your 40s? Or is not having a baby in your 20s/30s some kind of status symbol in your mind?

Here, let me fix that for you..."lots of educated moms have kids whenever they want nowadays."

Waiting to have kids is not a signifier of your education level. More than likely, it's an indication that you didn't meet an eligible parter until later in life or experienced infertility.

Same-sex couple, both in our 50s, with kids in middle school. Lots of moms in that age range. A few dads are older. We would have never been able to afford private if we had not had children later in life. (Not planned that way. Just the way it worked out.)

My husband will be 53 when our oldest turns 11 and 58 when our youngest turns 11. He is not the oldest at all in our oldest kid’ s private school, but probably the oldest in our youngest kid’s class. I am younger and I’m usually the youngest parent. I will be 40 when our eldest turns 11, 42 with my middle child and 45 with my youngest. It’s also how you look and how you act though. My husband looks younger and acts even younger so everyone is always surprised when they find out how old he is.

No. You likely will not be the oldest Mom. Separately, there will be older dads than moms.

You’ll be fine, most moms at the expensive privates around here are old, haggard & careerist.

I’m 48 and my youngest is starting PreK in the Fall. I also have a 10 year old and I’m not the oldest mom in his grade. It is fine.

One of my 10 year-old’s friends found out my age and he gave me the funniest compliment about looking really young for being so old! I do have a baby face but definitely look my age!

I’m 54 with a 13 and 10 year old. I’m a bit older than most of the moms, but not by much and no one cares.

I’m 55 with a 12 year old. In terms of the moms I know, it probably averages that I am about 5-7 years older than most, but not a big deal at this age.

+1

I don’t know the answer to your question OP because I have no idea what the moms look like and their ages.
