I know, I know, I will gain it back when I stop eating low carb, but I have a lot of T2 diabetes in my family and I have decided this needs to be a lifelong change for me. I may increase my carbs a bit when I get to a healthy weight or occasionally splurge on a pasta dish, but I have resigned myself to the fact that I need to eat this was for the rest of my life. I also work out most days, but I was doing that before I started losing. It is true that you cannot outrun the fork -- at least once you get to your 40's or so.

Congrats to us! It feels amazing!
How'd you do it?

Joined Orange Theory and go 2 - 3 times/week. OTF has made me more toned, but didn't help with weight loss -- I lose the same or more on weeks when I don't go, because I'm not as hungry. But I feel better when I go and am proud of the improvements I've made in strength and endurance. Also, I lost the weight so slowly that having an app that shows the trend was very helpful -- otherwise, I think I would have gotten frustrated and thought "I have to take drastic measures for it to matter," which I would not have sustained. This way was sustainable for me.
