College drop off will be ugly. At the same time, I’m a single mom and can’t wait to have some time to myself again. My son and I joke that I will in the running for a rare double win: biggest crier at drop off, happiest empty nester 1 week later.

Same, and I don’t even think of myself as a big crier. Heck, I cried at the silly preschool graduation, even while thinking it was ridiculous! But they were so little and cute. And the thought that I will see some of those same kids walk during HS graduation in a few years gives me all the feels….
