I just received Level III notification, guess that means my appeal was denied?


My understanding is that they are two separate processes. Level three is done through the school and level four is through the county.


This is so crazy to me. How does the county know better than the school?


How would a school know better than the county for a county-wide program?

Level III is essentially meaningless. Getting or not getting the designation doesn't mean that anyone actually even read an application file. It may just mean that you applied and everyone who applies gets it


It varies from school to school. In our school our classroom and Aart teachers review and discuss the files and parents are told to fill out referral for consideration

Right, why bother. The appeal was denied, so the kid isn't in for next fall.
