Definitely accept level iii if you want to reapply next year. They will get better work samples during those level iii pull outs. It is also something you want noted on the application.

Advanced Math might be offered next year. Our school uses SOL, iReady, and in class assessments for Advanced Math in 3rd and 4th. Fifth grade is when we knew before the school year started because it was the year they jumped ahead and the info was used to set their class assignments.

Placating parents is the point. The group who push in for advanced math will likely be a stronger cohort, but with quieter parents.

They just make sure those found eligible for Level IV are in those classes. If the school doesn't have enough Level IV kids to fill a class - they put other kids in, but those kids vary from year to year.

I was under the impression that since Level IV is funded by the state, there are strict requirements and acceptance by a committee. How is it that they can just put kids in due to space availability?

is there a correlation between level 4 appeal and level 3 offer? Some posts mentioned that aart’s already have the appeal results and this sending out level 3 offers

A center is not supposed to principal place. Only LLIV do principal placement if space permits.
