At my DD's HS recently an ex-student went in the back way to the sports field / gym where he knew (remembered) there was always a door left open and unguarded. He proceeded to grope 3 different girls aged 14-17 and attempted to drag one into the bathroom. He was stopped by staff, arrested and taken to jail.

THAT is a disturbing incident because it had victims. This story had no victims.

You're an idiot.

Which school? Did the principal make any changes going forward?

He followed her off the bus not from McDonald’s. Then a parent dropped him off at a gas station from the school parking lot. He was not “ roaming the halls”

I'm wondering how this happened, or if Springbook is unlike any other HS I've ever been inside.

This is not true of all schools, especially those in older buildings.

This is very scary to me. I wish my kid was at a HS with a more strict principal. Our principal is obsessed with social justice

At our Olney school the student aides are the ones letting people in! If you buzz the front door and the secretaries are not at their desk, someone under 16 will go to the computer and click the button to unlock the front door. Even the adults don’t enforce signing in or doing the required protocols for visitors.
