There’s a great documentary about her on HBO Max from a few years back, she was very involved in it.

She had received a kidney from her husband a few years ago.

She is the absolute best and I adored her. She started my love of music. River Deep Mountain High was the first record I ever bought/ picked out on my own. I was 6 or 7 and played that 45 until it literally broke (on my very cool Welcome Back Kotter record player). She started it all for me.
