I guess it is all cosmetic but it reminds me that a house can look bland on the outside and horrendous on the inside.

Looks like the beams have been there for awhile as they were there when the current owners bought the house.

Good god, inside kitchen is absolutely horrendous. Could they have gone any cheaper?

I completely agree with you, really awful reno. I would not have guessed this was a historic house. But there are plenty of buyers who remain into the HGTV farmhouse style.



Maybe, but wouldn't those buyers just go for a new build?

Agree with this and pp up thread who thinks ss doesn't garner over a mil has been sleeping for the past 5 years or completely unfamiliar with Maryland real estate.

Strange comment. How do you know "what it used to be"? Are you referring to what it was in the early 1900s? If that's the standard, then sure I guess it's probably an improvement.
