I'm the same. I generally keep my receipts until after I've gone online and checked my credit card purchases.

Anonymous wrote:All stores don’t offer electronic receipts. If I return to Walmart, Target like stores, I need a receipt to get $$ returned via cash or my cc (whatever method I used). Without either, you will get a gift card and if it is on sale when you return, you receive the sale price.
I also check my credit card statement each month for purchases and returns.

Whenever I use my credit card, I always want my receipt, especially if it's a large purchase. Also, the Walmart I use has someone check the receipts at the exit doors.

You being the one out of 50 customers that wants a receipt doesn't make it worth it.

Anonymous wrote:It used to be a given that you would get a receipt. Some places even had signs saying that if you didn’t get a receipt, the item you purchased would be free. Now, places don’t give receipts unless you ask for one or they ask you if you want one. Why?
I tell my kids and DH to always get a receipt, but it’s falling on deaf ears.

If you just bought it, they could pull up the purchase.
If you have an account, Lululemon has you in your system and a receipt of all your purchases.
If you pay with a card, they can swipe your card and see what you bought .
You don’t need a receipt.
