Mine loves the athleta sports bras. She knows they cost a small fortune for what they are, so that helped the cause.

doesnt seem like she has to wear one, I would not push it and would just buy her a few options and leave them in her room. Doesn't seem like a problem if she waits a while - sheer white tops are not a great idea regardless.

I actually don't know! Her best friend often wears a sports bra, because I can see the recognizable straps under certain shirts. The others all wear *something*, and some probably wear real supportive bras. My DD is at an early stage where she can wear any shirt, no bra, and it's not going to be too noticeable. Eventually I'm sure she'll pull out a bralette from her drawer - I do buy her some!

Hi It’s op, and thank you all for the good advices, I guess since my DD is very stubborn I’ll just leave the cami and bralette ( yes you’re right ) aside for her to decide, and avoid thin white top ( she actually worn one today without the cami)…

I wouldn't make her wear something she doesn't want to but I'd adjust the clothing she's wearing so it's not evident she's developing. Looser shirts, patterns, etc.

Who cares honestly, someone will make fun of her eventually and she will learn. As much as that sucks to happen, I think it’s less damaging than having her mom point out her changing body or make her wear a bra as if her body is something to be ashamed of

My 12 year old is still refusing and will wear a hoodie over her t shirt instead. Now that the weather is getting warmer I think that strategy will fall out of favor, but she’s awfully stubborn.

She doesn’t need a bra. Calm down.

Buy a few well-reviewed and very comfortable options and as a PP suggested, leave them in her room. Maybe a couple tank tops with the built-in support.

And then stop making a ten year old self conscious about her body, middle school will do that without you rushing it.

My 16 yr old is 50/50 - she’d prefer to go without almost all the time. Her handful of friends are similar

My 17 yo is 50/50 on wearing a bra.

She always wore one in her white soccer jersey, so you know what? They figure it out.
