As much as it sucks I would plan for 2.5 - 3 hours ahead of time. Once you miss one flight due to traffic and long lines you arrive extra early.

Agree, I've actually missed a flight getting to IAD an hour before because there was a large line at security.
Ah, here they are - the people driven nuts by the fact that we don't spend four days sitting around an airport waiting for our flight. As I said, we've never missed a flight.
