I get a cut and half a head of highlights in NYC for $300 including tip, which is a steal up here.

Your stylist will be mysteriously booked every time you try to make an appointment, if you stiff her on the tip.

I did $350 without tip for full highlights and cut on long hair. But it looks good and i only go every 5 months.

Was it regular partial highlights or balayage? It’s a little high (in dmv area) for partial highlights/haircut but actually low for balayage.

Op— what city is this hair salon? My stylist is trying to jack up prices to help pay for her assistant but they aren’t in close to D.C. So, rent isn’t as high. Just wondering where yours is located. And baleyage is very different than a partial highlight.

I paid $120 for full at Haircuttery plus $40 tip few months ago.
It was $300 at the fancier places 10 years ago already. I don't need fancy and I'm going back to haircuttery.
