What the actual heck? Why would you do this? Just let them have fun. Make them snacks.

Phil Dunphy has entered the chat.

“If my son grows up to think of me as just one of his knucklehead friends, then I’ll know I’ve succeeded as a father.”

Let me guess you're one of those parents who revel on posting live feed of pranking their own kids for a few utube clicks?

Why don't you focus on making the sleepover enjoyable for your child and their friends? Bake something, come up with some fun movie options, get ingredients for an ice cream bar, etc. That will make you seem like the cool parent more than scaring/embarassing these kids ever could.

The absolute MOST my DH does is to hand one kid a plate with a waffle when they wanted pancake, then faux apologize and take back the waffle plate and trade it for a different plate also with waffles. But this only works on little kids - like under 10. After that they just want you to be invisible.

This sounds very passive-aggressive. Prank and embarrass? Really?
