I was a teen in the 90s and could get very strong weed at Stuyvesant HS pretty much any time I wanted it. Strong weed has been around for decades.
Exhibit A: The adult enablers I was talking about.
What am I enabling? I'm just saying that new legislation hasn't changed as much as people want to think it has. Blaming the voters who wanted to stop spending taxpayer money on prosecuting and incarcerating pot users doesn't make sense.

It’s very pervasive at our high school. I hate it. But I’ve noticed kids hardly drink nowadays and if I have a kid who is determined to rebel and be bad, pot is the lesser of two evils to me. Maybe only bc of the amount of alcoholism in my family…. But this stuff concerns me - long term effects..

Hey folks, there’s this thing called the Internet. You can type words into and and give if your debit card number (cause you’re a responsible teen with a job) and then the INTERNET will mail you a vape pen that you can smoke and get high.

I know of many high school students who disagree.

I'm obviously aware that weed can be obtained illegally, but OP said because her son was 18 and it was legal, that she was helpless to stop him from accessing it, which suggested he got it through legal means and not illegal ones.

In the ER, we are seeing a lot of cases of Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome in teens & young people. That's basically weed-induced barfing for prolonged use.
It used to be older doctors would see CHS maybe a handful of times in their whole career. Now we see it multiple times each week. You have to smoke a LOT of weed, too. Insane.
