MCPS did away with finals for all classes several years ago because too many kids were failing them.
For Algebra at least , the plan is for MCAP to be the final, as part of the grade. (For people who care about grades or who are forced to care by lazy admission committees.)
Aren't grades due in June? The MCAP results definitely won't be out by then. Though maybe LAST year's MCAP reports will finally make their way to parents by then.
Got ours in the mail months ago.
That was for last year's test. The scores don't time travel.

Some people seem to care more about making education painful than whether kids learn the material.
I'm all for finals too especially if they allow unlimited retakes to ensure kids really learn the material.

And a key input to teacher recs is MAP scores.

Just to be clear, this is teacher recs for next year's class? There are no recommendations for HS magnet admission

Very important in high school magnet admissions.
